EXECUTIVE

Mr. McConville Now General Foreign Sales Manager The appointment of Mr. Joseph A.

McConville to the position of General Foreign Sales Manager of Columbia Pictures Corporation in place of Mr. J. H. Seidelman who has resigned was announced by Jack Cohn recently.

Mr: Cohn emphasized the fact that it is not the Company's policy to look afield for candidates for important positions which become available and further stated that Mr. McConvilles outstanding ability, together with hi: long association with the Company during "which time Columbia's General Foreign Sales Manager made a particularly close study of the international phases of the motion picture industry, made him the logical candidate for the position Mr. McConville ' assumed his new duties on January 10.
