The Tower Losing

MR. DE REYNIER

Popular Pianist Leaving for United States On Saturday night, amidst an atmosphere of cheerful conviviality, Mr. Eric de Reynier of the Tower Night Club, on the 9th floor of the Cathay Hotel, gave his last presentation in this city, before he sails or the United. States.

A good many personal friends of Eric de Reynier were present at the popular and informal night club, Saturday night, as the noted pianist played through a series of his favourite melodies for the benefit of the patrons.

Eric de Reynier was at his best, and he played with even greater vim then usual As if realizing that it would be his last performance, in the characteristic de Reynier manner, he gave of his very best, and patrons left the night club shortly ter 11 p.m. with a very vivid last impression of his talent.

Many will no doubt miss the popular pianist keenly when he leaves this city, in the wake of other past headliners at the Tower who have since achieved success in other countries of the world.

The career of Mr. de Reynier is an interesting one. At first almost unknown to the entertainment-seekers of this city, he is now among the most popular entertainers in Shanghai. 16 is hoped that he will capture the interest of night club goers in the United States as much as he did those of Shanghai
