ILLITERATE SUICIDE' DEATH LETTER

The Bombay police are looking for an obliging letter-writer who wrote a suicide letter for one of his clients, says, United Press, The note, written in Merathi and with thumb impression at the bottom, was found on the body of a mill hand who took a fatal dose of opium, The note recorded that the worker was ending his life of his own free will and that nobody else was to blame.

The police are not sure whether they can punish the letter-writer if they trace him, but they want to discourage his undue regard for "professional secrecy."

Text read from the printed page and cleaned; old type leaves the occasional error.
