To the Editor of the "Norti-Ciawa Dany News"
5ib,—N is of course very unbecoming for the two Russian Patriots.to start a controversy on the hospitable ages of, an English paper—should one say a few plain words about the actual conditions in Russia or should One keep quiet? If Arse A RUSSIAN Paruo thoroughly sympathizes With what I said in my previous letter, why does he think that I "pull down my country" and "soil it by my writing"? That is puzzling me, but I, shall leave it at that.
Why hush up the facts which are. Clear as day to all sober-thinking People? The painful history of Mr. Antony Eden's resignation received the widest publicity—and what plain speaking it was. Is the British Empire any worse for that? The British Patriots might have felt sore but when, they got over it—they knew where they were.
Analysing the bankruptcy of the Bolshevik regime and stressing the responsibility of M. Stalin and his clique is the rightful and helpful thing for Russia's cause now, when the mass confessions of the Moscow mock trial aim {o divert world opinion from the real culprits of Russia's degradation and misplace the responsibility for the high treason of our unfortunate country. Ostrichlike silence will not help matters at all and cannot change the course of events, whatever is to come, Russian PATRIOT.
