Bonds To Be Exchanged for Matured Notes Washington, Mar. 6.
Terms of che Treasury's March refinancing operation have been announced by Mr, Henry Morgene than, Secretary of the United States Treasury.
Tur Ta Tao (Great Way) City Government has established a traffic ofice which will handle the registration of all kinds of vehicles. The time limit for such registration is from March 1 to 15. Having had their vehicles examined at the office, the owners are required to apply to the finance bureau for licences before being permitted to operate such vehicles within the Ta Tao City Government's territory. The Ta Tao traffic office is at Tung Chang Road, Pootung, with branches at Kao Chiao Cheng and Tsaokadoo.
The Treasury, he' states, is offering Treasury bonds, bearing interest at 2% per cent. per annum and maturing in 10% years, in exchange for the $455,000,000 three per cent. notes maturing on March 15. The offering will be limited to notes tendered and accepted in exchange. Cash subscriptions will not be received.
Calling attention to the longer maturity of this issue, Mr, Morgenthau said that conditions were now better for Government issues in the bond market.—Reuter.
