Misuse of National Colours

Consular Body Discusses Japanese Complaint

The Consular Body had before them yesterday the letter from the Japanese authorities stating that an abuse of British, American and other foreign flags had been observed on cars used by Chinese in the Shanghai Area for military purposes. It was decided to circulate the letter to all Consuls. The police were also asked to give what assistance they could in the matter.

It is understood that the Police units already stationed in Chinese waters.—Trans-Ocean, defences littering the corridors and other make-shift defences as a protection against air raids and shelling, he laughingly explained that they had their first night's good sleep and rest on Wednesday.
