Music Hath Charms

A Suggestion To the Editor of the Nortu-Cutxa Datty News'

Sir—I by your remarks "In Parenthesis" re The Municipal Band in your issue of yesterday, as you say, the S.M.C. can-vot possibly think of everything, and we all agree that they are doing magnificent work.

I would therefore like to suggest that the Municipal Orchestra, unless Jot course they are doing more im.

portant duty, might well be employed giving a nightly concert over the air ifter 10 o'clock, when curfew comes into force.

It is awfully dreary and lonely at home. especially as the women folk have gone away, and in very many cases grass widowers are isolated in their own homes, with no one to talk After one has put up with possibly the necessary number of calls to various friends in different parts of China, a light musical programme. say from 10 pin. to 11 p.m. would make life much pleasanter, and 1 am sure would be greatly appreciated by all.
