Another Appropriation For "China Incident"
Tokyo, Sept. 3.
Japan's parliamentarians will assemble in the House of Peers tomorrow to hear Emperor Hirohito formally declare the Seventy-Third Extraordinary session of the Diet opened.
The momentous session, at which the Government will ask the nation to support its military and economic policies in the current crisis, actually opened this morning with routine business.
Included among the important bills, to be discussed during the five-day session, will be one providing for the appropriation of ¥.2,000,000,000 for the China incident and a measure authorizing the Government to control the nations' economy.
The Treasury will submit a Dill tightening the provisions of the foreign exchange control regulation.
Amendments to the regulations will enable the Finance Ministry to control transactions in foreign money by Japanese residents abroad.
Also regulated will be the purchase and sale of property abroad by Japanese subjects.—Domei.
