The German Christian Social Peoples Party has followed the example of the German Agrarian Party in joining the Sudeten German Party. This means that two of the three German fragmentary parties which have belonged to the Czechoslovakian Government since 1935, have now joined Dr. Konrad Henlein's party.
At the last elections in May, 1935, the Sudeten German Party polled 1,250,000 votes, the Christian Socialists about 160,000 and the German Agrarians about 140,000. Of the German parties only the Social Democrats now stand aloof from the Südeten unionist movement.
The decision of the German Christian Social Peoples Party is declared by the Sudeten German Party to be the chief step towards the unity of Sudeten Germans under Dr. Henlein.
