CARGO STOWED AT THE N.YK — POOTUNG WHARF

The consignees and cargo owners concerned are hereby notified that as a result of hostilities, "A" shed and No. 2 godown (where part of bonded godown was located) at N.Y.K. Pootung Wharf, as far as could be seen from the Shanghai side, were afire. the former apparently having been totally destroyed between the 19th and 2ist August, and it is expected that the cargoes therein eminently sustained serious damage and loss. The other sheds and godowns at the wharf are presumed to have been affected more or less by shells. bombs or fires although not discernible from this side of the river.
