According to the returns of the census just taken, the Vatican State has a total population of 518 people of whom two were born within its borders after its founda. tion, whilst the remainder, who are newly acquired citizens, belong to sloven different nations' of whom the Italians form the majority, with the Swiss Guards taking the second place with 113 and Abyssinia with one inhabitant taking the last pla: e.—Trans-Ocean Kuo Min, Rome, Oct. 10—It is announced that the Pope has officially sanctioned -the opening of a Russian Orthodox Seminary intended pri marily for young Russian priests. The establishment is intended to pave the way for the return of the Orthodox Church into the fold of the Roman Catholic Church.
Seminary is housed in a building in the Vatican terri and is nearing completion and will be directed by Jesuit Trans-Ocean Kuo Min.
