Sm,—With reference to the comments of Scrurator regarding the failure of the Shanghai Football Association to provide games during the Easter week-end, here is a suggestion which I find meets with. the approval of: members of the Police Team, and also the Seaforths, namely that these two teams might play a game on Sunday morning at the Canidrome on behalf of the Charity Fund of the St, Andrews Society. Many members of the Police side are Scots, and in view of the fact that both sides have recently defeated the Durham Light Infantry, the Skottowe Cup holders, a good game should result.
Although the Seaforths have made their initial appearance in Shanghai very few knew anything about the game until they read the report of the game in your columns.
Perhaps some Scottish soccer enthusiasts will take this matter up, the teams are willing, and it should not be difficult to make the necessary arrangements even at this late hour.
I feel that the Scottish Community will take the opportunity of support the Charity Funds of their National Society, and give the Seaforths an opportunity of providing us with some soccer of the Scottish type, as they might not be here during the coming season,
CALEDONTA.
