Bombay, Apr. 28.
Mr. M. K. Gandhi arrived here today for a two-day conference with Mr. Jinnah, leader of the Moslem League of India, aiming at effecting a permanent solution of the communal problem-in India and establishing harmonious relations between the Indian National Congress and the League.
The scope and nature of the talks have not been defined so far, but the prospects of the discussions have aroused interest throughout India.
Recently Mr. Jinnah refused to recognize the Congress as anything but a Hindu body determined to oust all other parties.—Reuter.
