London. Oct. 1.
An eloquent plea for fair treatment of Germans, living abroad was made this evening by the chief of the National Socialist foreign organization, Herr Ernst Wilhelm: Bohle, 'a speech delivered at Dorchester Hall, where the German colony in London Was celebrating the annual harvest thanksgiving festival, Herr Bohle opened his speech by pointing out that Ne himself was born in England and spent his whole youth within the British Empire, parily in England itself and partly In South Africa, and had. thereby xalned a better understanding of Britain and the British people than could be acquired by an outside The speaker explained that it was perfectly natural that since Herr Hitler took over the government of Germany in. 1933, German citizens living outside the Reich had been taking a much greater Interest in the developments at home than in former years and it may now be truthfully Said that National Socialism has be come the common 'Weltanschauung' of all German citizens both inside and outside the Reich, so that the terms Nationat Socialist' and German were now synonymous.
irons here at home would be Justified in prohibiting the propagation of National Socialist ideas amongst the British. But as there has never been stich propagation, recent allempts made by certain quarters to arouse hostility against National Socialists living abroad must be taken as an attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of Germany because the political and eneral Ideological orientation German citizens abroad is a matter that affects Germany alone.
