Shotter's Reward

The best catch of the day was brought off by J. D. E. Shotter, who took one going very low off H. A. Reeks to dismiss the batsman, this feat resulting in a "boy" being sent from the pavilion with a basket to the successful fielder. Dropped catches were much in evidence, but some keen fielding was displayed and it was interesting to watch E. C. Baker and Commander C. A. Bowen outrunning and outvieing each other to reach the ball near the boundary.
