Two memorial meetings, one in the Settlement and the other in Nantao, marked the commemora. tion of the anniversary of the birth day of Dr. Sun Yat-son on Nov. 12. All the Government and Kuomintang institutions were closed for the day, while more than 40,000 workers of 25 concerns were given 2 full holiday.
Owing probably to the inclement weather, Kuomintang flags were not popularly displayed streets as on the previous occasions. In view of the present Manchuria [situation no elaborate public enter-laments were arranged by Kuo-infang members.
