Th Tientsin Customs—Superintendent's ace has secured the app:əval of the "Provisional Government" in imposing restrictions on the amount of money that each traveller may carry and has notified the Chamber of Commerce of this.
Each traveller is allowed to carry $500 either in Federal Reserve Bank notes or notes issued by other banks and anyone who wishes to carry more than the stipulated sum is required to be covered with a government "huehao." The applies to travellers entering and leaving Nortt China.
Government organizations and banks tha: wish to transport money from one place to another must apply for a "hu chao" with formal letters, whereas for individuals who apply for such "hu chao" substantial shop guarantees are required.—Reuter.
