Father Jacquinot told the Central News yesterday morning that he expects everything to be ready by today so that the refugee area can be thrown open for the all-important humanitarian mission for which it is being established.
All public places in the district, including the old city park, the Little World amusement centre, and numerous schools and missionary establishments, will be placed at the disposal of the society to give shelter to refugees, now herded in camps in the International Settlement and French Concession.
