British Leaders Alert

London, June 11.

After two-days' consideration of measures suggested to stop the bombing of British ships in Spanish waters, Viscount Halifax, Foreign Secretary, went to Yorkshire yesterday and is expected to return to (London on Sunday. He will be in close touch with the Foreign Office over the week-end, but it is mot likely that any decision will be taken then.

Tt now seems probable that the' Prime Minister Mr. Neville Chamberlain, who, while on holiday in Hampshire, has been kept informed. of the latest developments and has had several telephone talks with Lord Halifax, may decide to discuss the whole subject with some of the Cabinet Ministers when he returns to London at the beginning of the week. The full Cabinet may make a final decision on Wednesday.

In any case, the whole matter wil! almost certainly be raised in the form of questions to the Prime Minister and Lord Halifax when Parliament resumes on Tuesday.—Reuter.
