London, Nov. 14.
Mr. Anthony Eden, the Foreign Secretary, and Count Galeazzo Ciano, his Italian colleague, will meet only if negotiations between Lord Perth, British Ambassador in Rome, and the Italian Foreign Office progress sufficiently to justify a meeting of the two ministers to complete an accord, it is believed here.
The British objectives in the negotiations are: withdrawal of foreign volunteers from Spain: maintenance of the freedom of the Mediterranean routes; an accord concerning the Near East which would provide for the cessation of Italian anti-British propaganda in the Arab world, and reduction of the Talian forces in Libya.—Havas.
