Indians Supporting Chinese People

THURSDAY, JUNE — Pandit Nehru Speaks of Efforts Against All

Imperialists Paris, June 21.

India unreservedly supporting China in her fight against Japan, it was stated here last night by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, former chairman and member of the Supreme Executive Council of the Indian National Congress.

"We have sent a medical mission to the Chinese Government," he added. "We are taking part in the world boycott against Japanese goods. In the Malay States, Japanese industrialists asked Indian workers to replace the Chinese workmen who had struck work in order not to supply metal ore for the manufacture of shells which would be used against the Chinese people. A telegram from the Indian Congress was sufficient to make the workers refuse the Japapese offer."

"We are guided by the conviction that Fascism is always the twin brother of Imperialism," Pandit Nehru added.
