Route London, June 26.

Inaugurating the longest direct air route in the world, the Imperial Airways flying-boats Camilla and Cordelia left Southampton this morning en route to Sydney. The route from Southampton to Sydney, which covers 13,000 miles, will be covered in nine days and two hours. Flying-boats operating on this route touch at Athens, Basra, Karachi, Calcutta, Bangkok, Singapore, Sourabaya and Port Darwin.

At present, the Imperial Airways "planes are operating on a hi-weekly schedule from Southampton. Later, however, three trips per week will be made, and the service will be accelerated so as to cut down the time occupied to only one week.—Reuter.
