London, June 29.
Negotiations between naval experts of Great Britain and the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Norway and Finland, have resulted in the conclusion of a tentative accord. This agreement is on the same lines as the Naval Treaty of 1936 concluded between Britain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
The accord is adapted to the special needs of the Scandinavian fleets, They are understood to be authorized to construct special units of a class between cruisers and battleships, including 8,000-ton vessels armed with eight-inch guns.
Before this agreement is finally signed, it will be submitted to Paris end Washington and then to Berlin and Moscow. Upon the approval of these Powers, the final signature will take place—Havas.
