Yesterday, being the last day for the first round of the Pairs Championships, saw a big clean-up of matches which had been held in abeyance on account of the unplayable condition of the greens at the beginning of the season. One of the surprises of the afternoon Was the victory of S. V. Heley and J. Walker, playing under somewhat difficult conditions, over their ents, C. A. Pereira and A. M. Ico.
