The English first and second Division Clubs with a number of Third and some -non-league clubs will meet on Saturday to contest the third round of the Football Association Challenge Cup or, as it is more familiarly known, the English Cup.
Sunderland, the Cup holders, have Watford as visitors, and should survive this round by defeating these visitors, Arsenal meet formidable Cup fighters in the Bolton Wanderers, and the trotters are just the team to upset the gunners. A replay is probable.
Derby County who meet Stoke have not been convincing of late, and there is not much to choose between the teams in the league, I am going to support the Rams to win this game at the first time of asking.
Aston Villa, famous Cup fighters, travel to Norwich, and they should win, West Bromwich Albion another team with a good cup record meet Newcastle United, and the current league form of the United is not impressive. I favour the Throstles for the fourth round. Millwall, who went to the semi-final last season, have the First Division champions, Manchester City, as visitors. The homesters are dour fighters, and I fancy them to repeat the victory of the sixth round last year. Preston North End who were also semifinalists and finalists last season, should defeat West Ham United.
