Periodical Reports to Stop:
League to Learn Less Washington, Jan. 17.
The Navy Department will no longer publish periodical reports on the strength of the United States Navy, with the names and number of ships under construction, according to reliable sources to-day.
The Naval Affairs Committee of the Senate this year will not issue its customary statement on the comparative strengths of the world's leading navies, in which extensive information regarding the United States Navy was given in the past.
In addition, the United States will furnish the armaments section of the League of Nations with less information for publication in the League's armaments book.
The British and the French, however, will receive full information by virtue of the London Naval Agreement. It is understood that the information will not be passed on to other countries.—-Reuter. se without a shot being fired, order
