Judgment Thursday in Wood Oil Case

The examination of five Chinese charged with attempting to gain possession of over 300 tons of wood oil in M.B.K. lighters in the Whangpoo by fraudulent means was concluded in the First Special District Court yesterday and judgment was reserved till Thursday. Among the accused was one believed by the police to be the master mind of the Organization responsible for the attempted fraud. He was alleged to have represented himself as an employee of the owners of the wood oil and, through Chinese and Formosans, asked a Japanese subject to get the necessary permit for the removal of the cargo. He insisted during yesterday's hearing that he acted under the instructions of his employers, the Yoong Shing Shipping Hong.
