With no goals having been scored in the first half, it was generally felt that the champions would assert their superiority in the second half, and this fact seemed likely to be borne out when they equalized after seven minutes' play. If we had been treated to a thrilling struggle in the first half, then what followed in the second half after the scores were tied will require some stronger adjectives to describe. Both sides produced numerous thrills, and although Boissezon was called upon to deal with the more telling shots, Lough also was not idle.
A penalty decided the issue so far as the score was concerned, and there can be no dispute about the correctness of the decision. Collet, who had been cautioned in the first half, was the culprit. The left back did not play as well as in the league game and was over-shadowed by Marcal who played a fine game. The left back appears to play much bet-"iter with Paul Bell in front of him. Bell, whose return undoubtedly strengthened the defence, was responsible for some timely clearances, and was the best of the middle line, although Segalin played a hard game, and showed some good ball control at times to keep his own line moving.
