Minorities Problem

London, July?9.

The British Government are now contemplating suggesting to Prague that Czechoslovakia adopt a status of neutrality similar to Switzerland's so as to avoid a Czecho-German conflict during the coming summer months, authorized political quarters asserted today.

Influential German circles told Lord Londonderry, when he visited the Reich recently, that they were determined to counteract the "Russian menace by demanding the cancellation of the Czecho-Soviet Treaty," it is understood.

Observers point out that the neutralization of Czechoslovakia is the only way to avoid an armed conflict between Prague and Berlin They note particularly that Germany's fortifications on the western borders of the Reich would permit a concentration of all German forces against Czechoslovakia.—Havas.
