Silver United movements dom during the ended 9 resulted in a surplus of over exports to the value of £1,065,000. compared with net s of £1,101,000 during the previous week Exports of the white metal from ihe United Kingdom during the period under review totalled £75,- 000, of which £31,000 were shipped io the United States, whilst exports during the previous week amounted io £933,000, including £918.000 sent to the United States.
Coming from various sources, imports of silver for the same period aggregated &1140000, of which £1057000 came from Hongkong.
£44,000 from British India and £22,000 from Australia, Imports for the previous week summed up to a total of £2.034,000, including £ 1.877.- 000 from Hongkong, £62.00 from British India and £40000 from Germany.—Reuter
