Four Machines

"Quite often, too, there are a number of what seem to be new machines, or re-conditioned ones, which the Japanese pilots proceed to test over our heads, looping, flying upside down and all over the place. At the time of this accident, there were four of them in the air.

"They were all of the pursuit-ship type and were obviously being tested—or else the pilots were just enjoying themselves. As we watched, one of them, flying low, disappeared behind some trees in the direction of the large aerodrome just inland from the Point, There was a terrific crash— and that was the last we saw of it.
