MARINES' CHURCH AGAIN CROWDED

Piano Trio Well Received in Concert At the Fourth Marines church service and concert, held in the Grand Theatre yesterday morning, the auditorium and balcony were again crowded to capacity. The Rev. W. Robert Taylor conducted the worship and delivered the sermon, a most interesting and forceful message, on the subject "A Sporting Chance" The Fourth Mairnes Band, under the direction of Staff-Sgt. William R. Stuart, gave three beautiful numbers in the service, the Prelude "Lament" by Dvorak, a selection by Grieg "Morning" from "Peer Gynt Suite,' and Franklin's "Shades of Night."

Mrs. Ella M. Robertson, of radio station XQHB, Miss Aloo Tata and Mr. Edmond Dupont, pianists, were the concert guests. They played as a piano trio Wagner's "Entry of Guests" from "Tannhauser," and Rachmaninoff's "Prelude." The selections were so generously received by the audience that an encore, "The Parade Of The Wooden Soldiers" by Jessel, was forthcoming.

The Bandmaster, Tech.-Sgt, Leon Freda, had arranged an excellent programme for his band, introducing the concert with Suppe's Overture "Poet and Peasant," and also playing Verdi's famous "Un Halle En Maschera." The programme concluded with the Marines Hymn and the American National Anthem.
