Theft Scheme With the arrest of four men believed to be important members of a criminal gang, the Bureau of Public Safety of the City Government of Greater Shanghai made known on Aug. 12 that they have in hand details of a city-wide scheme for the theft of electricity which has defrauded the Chinese Electricity Company of thousands of dollars during the last several years.
The men in custody are Yi Tai and Chang Ping-sun, employees, the company, and Tung long, an employee of the Star Electricity Materials Supply Company, Small East Gate, Nantao, and Wang Yao-ding, proprietor of the Yao Kee Electricity Supply Company, Nantao, Warrants for the arrest of a dozen others involved in the scheme have been issued.
