Polish Population Goes to Polls

Campaign Concludes for Legislative Elections

Warsaw, Nov. 5.

Several processions, meetings and speeches brought to a close this evening electorial campaigns prior to tomorrow's legislative elections.

More than 17,000,000 people, about half the country's total population, will take part in the ballotting, which is being held to elect 208 Deputies who will form the tenth Polish Diet. The success of the Governmental "National Union" group is assured because its candidates were designated by pro-governmental electoral commissions.

It is remarked that among the 440 candidates vying for success there is not one German. Only a few candidates are independent or belong to the Opposition.—Havas.
