The Chinese forces today claim to be following up the victories of the past few days and to be now thre: tening to recapture two more towns. in the Tientsin-Pukow Aghting area, 'The towns now claimed. threatened are Yihsien and Tsaochwang, both fon the Taierchwang branch line of the Tsinpu, about fifteen and 25 niles north' of Taierchwang respec: tively, Tsaochwang, it is stated, is being attacked from the north by a force under General Tsao Fuclin, which, after culting and. crossing the Tientsin-Pukow railway—between Tenghsien and Taian in" conjunction with General "Sun ""Tung-hsuan's, forees, left General Sun Tung-hsuan proceed north to Tsinan and itself broke off south towards Tsaochwanj This force is now said to have occupied Tsaochwang railway station, while one column of advance guards claims tp have entered the city. Here they are at present stated to be engaged in fierce fighting with a group of Japanese holding out in the Tsu0- ehiwang middle school building.
Peiping-Hankow railway are now ready and that a parallel offensive northward fron the direction Chengchow along the Pinghan in the direction of Anyang, in north Honan, about to be launched.—Reuter.
