London, Apr. 18.
According to well-informed circles here, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, the Prime Minister, has under consideration the opening of negotiations with the Reich in a month's time.
Several members of the Cabinet are opposed, believing it impossible to reach an agreement on the problem of Germany's colonial claims. They also believe any concessions, even the mere gesture of opening negotiations, would encourage a German coup in Central Europe similar to that in Austria.
Well-informed circles here think this question will be raised during the visit of the French Premier and the Foreign Minister, M. Edouard Daladier and M. Georges Bonnet.—Havas.
