To be Suspected Hongkong, Apr. 18.
Another explosion occurred at the General Post Office here at 9 this morning, the second in the last fifteen hours, This mornings explosion, as last night's one, also originated from a mailbag which was landed here from the s. Tjinegara just arrived from Shanghai.
Investigations have now shown that in both cases the mailbags themselves. contained explosives.
Since these two mailbags were intended for a consignment to have been sent by air mail to Chungking and Hankow, it is widely rumoured in Chinese circles that the mailbags were intended to catch the same plane as that in which a number of prominent Chinese officials, including, it is stated, Mr, T. V Soong, were returning to Hankow.
These rumours state that it may be presumed that the explosives were meant to have gone off when the mailbags were in the plane and the plane had. already left the ground.—Reuter.
