A further sensation developed on Tuesday (Sept. 1) when was learned that the Shang hal "Race Club Stewards had ided that the Chinese Jockey Club until further notice would cease to be a recognized race club under the club's by-laws. As there is a working arrangement between the two, it assumed this course also will be followed by the International Recreation Club.
As announced recently by the Metropolitan Sporting Association, that concern had taken over the complete management of the Chinese Jockey Club and the newly-formed Shanghai Trotting Club, although the two latter were to carry on as separate bodies, each with its own officers. It was subsequently announced, after entries for the first C.J, C. Meeting of the autumn season had closed, that, owing to insufflelent support, all meetings would be indefinitely postponed.
