Next Sunday. the Centenary of the death of Dr. Robert Morrison. the first Protestant missionary _to China, will be observed at a memorial service now under consideration.
Morrison Memorial has already been erected in Canton, $20,000 having been subscribed some time ago for this purpose. It is proposed in Hongkong to erect a memorial me stead to Mary Morrison, the wife of Dr. Morrison. who preceded her husband in death by thirteen years. Mary Morrison is buried in the cemetery adjoining the~ Protestant Chapel at Macao. A Morrison memorial service will be held in that Chapel on August 1.
