Shanghai, Nov. 26, Reference was made at yesterday's press conference to the revert appearing in the "North China Daily News." which stated that applications had been made by the foreign authorities concerned to inspect the Shanghai, Hangchow and Ningpo and' the Shanghal-Nanking Railways The correspondent raising the matter asked if this was true and in reply a Japanese Embassy spokesman stated that, so far as he knew, 0 applications had been made either in Shanghai or Tokyo.
