Singapore, Dec. 16.

The biggest manoeuvres in the history of Singapore. in which the Army, Navy and Air Force participate fed were concluded to-day when thousands of people of diverse nationalities lined the wharves and. hills overlooking the sea to watch the ships return from their exercises.

Steaming majestically through the arrows into Keppel Harbour, the Tong line of war vessels. composed of 18 destroyers, the aircraft-carrier manoeuvres opened on Friday night with an "attack" on the city by destroyers.

On Saturday night another "attack" was made from somewhere in the (China Sea, but it is understood that this was successfully resisted. Reconnoltring defence planes played a large part in the defence of the city, the heart of which artillery, antiaircraft guns and searchlight companies had been posted in readiness for the "onslaught."

'The. manceuvres' were closely watched by Siamese military and air force missions—Reuter.
