An imposing list of British warships now under construction is given in the new edition of "Jane's Fighting Ships," which has just been issued. They include five battleships, five aircraft carries, eighteen crui ers, 92 destroyers, and fifteen submarines, No official information is available regarding the battleships, H.MS, Lion and Temeraire, which were expected to be laid down about March, 1929, It is believed, however, that the new battleships will be armed with 16-inch guns The five battleships now under construction are unofficially stated to be armed with ten 14-inch guns each, It is officially reported that their design will include much improved defences against air attack:
