Mr, Martin Insull brother of the former utilities magnate, Mr. Samuel Insull. was acquitted to-day ina charge of embezzling $344,000 from the Middlewest Utilities Ca, after the jury deliberated for nearly seven hours.

The jury took twelve ballots before reaching a decision, but there were never less than nine members In favour of Insull, who will be tried fon a second charge of embezzlement on January 15.
