A Broken Melody

Classical Piece Interrupted

(Te the Editor of the "Nomn-Cuma Dany News"

Su—Yesterday evening at 845 1 was listening to the broadcast from Station XIMH.A. and 1 myself and, I believe, most of other listeners were greatly disappointed when this tation ceased brondeasting of the spanish Caprice," by Rimsky Kor-kef, in the middle of a play an: changed it to the light opera's selection.

This "Spanish Caprice" ts well ind known not only to all musicians but all, more or less, educated people Jas a great composition of its kind and 1 was badly surprised at the negligence Jot the people concerned, who evidently do not wish to bear in mind that' unreasonable interruption of classical music might be considered fas an absolute ignorance of serious music by the parly concerned.

T have decided to request you, Sir, to publish this letter only because this Is not the firat time that these people permit themselves to do such a thing. Some time ago they. have done the same to Borodin's- "Polo-

Veeky Dance" and I begin to realize: how" that it is Hable to multiply. From my point of view a classical [programme should be broadcasted {In full or not broadcasted at all.

I hope that this etter will help XMILA. people in future to be more careful when broadcasting the famous compositions.
