HARLIE Yates won the final of the British Amateur Golf Championship here today b; y defeating Cecil Owing, of Sligo, by 3 and 2 over 36 holes.
Yates, won his way to the final by defeating Hector Thomson, a former champion. Owing, Yategs opponent in the final, eliminated d the Canadian champion, Ross Somerville, by two up. -Reuter.
