Rear-Adm. Crabbe Succeeds Adm. Chilton London, May 22 It was announced here to-day that Rear-Admiral Lewis Gonne Eyre Crabbe will succeed Rear-Admirat Frank Chillon as Senior Naval Officer fon. the Yangtze Station as from August 23. He is due to arrive in Shanghai on October 21. Rear-Admiral Crabbe, who is the son of the late Brig.-Gen, Eyre M. 8. Crabbe, of the Grenadier Guards, Joined the Navy in 1895 and has served mostly on destroyers. He commanded H. M. S. Ophelia during the Battle of Jutland and was Senior Naval Ofcer in the Persian Gulf until 1033. He served throughout the European war ind was mentioned in despatches.
