'A. $3,000,000 sugar company with one-fourth of its capital to be supplied by the Government is being planned by Mr. Liang Ho-chun Chairman of the newly organized Sugar Industry Administration Committee, who arrived from Nanking Jon Thursday. Chinese sugar merchants will be approached to furnish the remainder of the capital. The cthice of the proposed firm is to be established in Shanghai.
Mr. Liang visited Nanking recently in connection with the promulgation of regulations governing the committee which hag been formed to control the sale of sugar for the purpose of preventing smuggling. Meetings. will be held by Mr. Liang with local Chinese and foreign sugar merchants to discuss the draft regulations.
