And Their Language To the Editor of the "Norri-Cutna Dany News"
Sin-—We were told by Mr. Scheibun in these columns on Tuesday that the Alsatians (to wit; the people NOT dogs) speak a language absolutetely of their own.
Unfortunately Mr. Schelblin failed to bear out his conlention by an example, so I will fil the gap by quoting from Alastian folldore, a song. my mother (being Alsatian, of Alssian descent, NOT from across either the Rhine or the Vosges) used sing when T was quite a child. It runs as follows:
De hans in Sehnokeloch het alles was, er will Was ex will, des het er nit, Und was er het, das will er nil, Mans im. Schnokeloch "het alles was of wil, }To be sure this is a quite; of its own, not rotated to any other.
Text read from the printed page and cleaned; old type leaves the occasional error.
