Hankow, June 12, In view of the reported intention of Japanese warships to steam up river towards Hankow, instructions forbidding all Merchantmen on ti.e Yangtze to wireless.their usual weather and watermark reports have been issued by the Ministry of Communications, under instructions from the National Military Council.
Especially 1s Yangtze shipping warned? against wirelessing these te-ports for that section of the river between Hankow and. Anking, foi fear that such reports may prove useful to Japanese warships.-—Reuter, Operations of the Japanese Na on the Yangtze are "proceeding successfully as scheduled," a spokesman for the Navy declared yesterday. "No hitch has occurred" he added. The spokesman declined to reveal details of the progress of Japanese vessels going up the river.
