Berlin, Jan. 25.
Mr. George Rublee, Director of the International Refugee Committee, arrived here today from Paris.
He will meet Dr. Wohlfat, a representative of the Economics Ministry, and confer with him on the question of emigrating Jews from Germany.
It is understood that strong divergencies of views still prevent a settlement of this question. British and American Jews who are to finance the greater part of such emigration, demand in return, serious guarantees that those Jews remaining in Germany until such time as their evacuation becomes possible will not be persecuted.
The German authorities refused to grant such guarantees, stating that such would affect German prestige.—
